Burlon D. “Bud” Davis, 83, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. By his side was his loving wife of 40 years, Marilyn Burge Davis.
He was born October 1, 1933 to James C. Davis and Easter Landrum Geauthreaux. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 22 years, serving in both Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He returned to Picayune after his retirement and worked at Millbrook Country Club where he built the back nine. He then attended PRCC in the Heating/Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration program and worked for several years in that field. He bowled with his wife for many years and also enjoyed planting and working in his garden. He was a sports fanatic but especially loved football and pulling for LSU and the Saints.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother James Durwood Davis.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Burge Davis, one brother Mickey Davis of Picayune, five children: Mike Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Gay Lynn Williams of Lumberton, Texas, Donna Davis of McQueeney, Texas, Kathy Smith of Poplarville, Miss., and Judy Stockstill of Magnolia, Texas. Also surviving are his 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with 7 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren.
No services have been planned. His ashes will be buried at Gibson Cemetery in Picayune. All family and friends are encouraged to honor and celebrate Bud’s life on this earth with your thoughts, prayers and fondest memories.

Burlon “Bud” Davis passed away November 16, 2016 and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Marilyn Burge Davis.
He leaves behind five children from a previous marriage, Kathy Smith, Judy Stockstill, Gay Lynn Williams, Donna Davis, and Mike Davis.
His ashes will be buried at Gibson Cemetery.
