Funeral Services for Otis Woods, age 94, of Kiln, Miss., who passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Perkinston, Miss.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Fenton Sandhill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Father Adhav Satish will officiate the service.
A native of Hancock County, Miss., he was a Warehouseman and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Otis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. He had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He loved growing and arranging beautiful flowers. Otis provided the weekly floral arrangements for the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Woods and Bessie Hickman Woods; great grandson, Nick Woods; brothers, Wylie Woods and Warren Woods; sisters, Ophelia Peterson, Olivia Johnson, Hattie Ladner, and Obie Woods.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 70 wonderful years, Pearl Malley Woods; sons, Charles Woods and wife JoAnn, Carl Woods and wife Alana; daughter, Ruth Page and husband Junior.; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
