Funeral services for Beth Fillingame, 77, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Jonathan Denton will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS, she was a teacher in the Picayune School District for 35 years. Beth was a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, adored teacher, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Selwyn S. Rutherford and Lena Davis Rutherford.
Left to cherish her memory are the father of her children, Reggie Fillingame; her daughters, Tammy Fillingame, and Terri (Marcus) Armstrong; her sisters, Sandy Rutherford, and Sharon Lewis; her brother, Selwyn (Linda) Rutherford, Jr., her nieces, Anneliese Varnado, and Savannah Varnado; her nephew, Ashton Fillingame; her grandchildren at heart, Lauren Bullock, Amanda Batey, and the late Benjamin Smith; and her caregiver and daughter at heart, Suzanne Batey.
