Mary Galiano OBIT 09-03-16 CLR

Mary Galiano, age 89, passed away August 30, 2016.  Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  She was born in Bryan, and raised in Galveston, Texas, but for the last 21 years resided in Gulfport, Miss.
She was a Cadet Nurse during World War II and continued her nursing career for 40 years.  Mary was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Woolmarket. Her sincere devotion to prayer (rolling her beads) for her children, grandchildren, and many others resulted in many positive life experiences for each of them.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bill Galiano; her parents, Marshall Wilkes Dunn and Susie Ybarra Dunn; and four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three sisters, Nancy Roach, Ruth Des Jardins, and Judy Buckley, all of Texas;  three daughters, Mary Sue Oehlke (Bobby) of Carriere, Miss., Cindy Eckhardt (Herbie) of Harahan, La., and Sandy Clark (Vernon) of Gulfport, Miss.; one son, Basil J. Galiano Jr. (Annie) of Davie, Fla.; six grandchildren, Rebecca Oehlke, David Eckhardt (Keri), Daniel Eckhardt, Brax Clark (Jennifer), Kasey Tiblier (Josh), and Rachel Dendy (Jason); nine great-grandchildren,  Abigail, Austyn, Hailey, Hunter, Cook, Caroline, Caleb, Ally, Cate; and a host of nieces and nephews.
