Early Wednesday morning, the Picayune Police Department responded to the call of a deceased man at a local construction site.

Around 7:30 a.m., officers arrived to the site off Polymer Drive to find a man, later identified as Roy Seals, 51, of 50 Johnny Johnson Road, Carriere, deceased inside the building, Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.

Officers checked his vitals and found no signs of life, Magri said.

The Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage arrived on scene and pronounced Seals deceased, Magri said.

The Picayune Police Department conducted an investigation and through surveillance footage saw Seals had been dropped off for work at the site around 6 a.m. Monday, Magri said.

Shortly after arriving for work, his body was discovered by another employee who placed the call to the department, Magri said.

The investigation concluded there was no foul play, Magri said.

Turnage ruled the cause of death as suicide.
