Funeral services will be held August 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for Mr. Willis “Drope Pok” Woodson, 80, of Picayune, MS who died Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Slidell Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Donald Parker will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, MS, he was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was the manager and coach of Woodson Community Boxing Club.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Willie Woodson, Germany and Gerald Woodson, Atlanta, GA; 2 grandchildren, 1 brother, Carl Woodson, Detroit; 2 sisters, Sally Woodson McCree and Ina Ruth Woodson both of Picayune, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nobie Woodson, 1 daughter, Terrylyn Jackson, parents, Dennis and Marzella Woodson, 2 brothers, Dennis and George Woodson, and 1 sister, Mary Alice Byrd.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
