Funeral services for Lucy Charlena Lossett, 86, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2016  from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Billy Dowdy will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Billy Galloway.
A native of Covington County, MS, she was a seamstress for Picayune High School 1960s-1970s, a homemaker, and a member of Central Baptist Church, McNeill, MS. Lucy was a member of the Eastern Star, OES at Picayune and Carriere, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Noah Dearman, Sr and Sue Bullock Blocker; and her husband of 52 years, Ira A. “Buddy” Lossett, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ira (Donna) Lossett, III, Alan (Debbie) Lossett, Sr., Frank (Vicky) Lossett, and Amy (Wayne) Lossett Chadwick; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; her brothers and sister, Matthew Lavon (Pat) Dearman, Sue Robinow, and James Noah Dearman, Jr.
