Johnnie Margaret Hall, 66, died Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the South Mississippi Regional Center where she was a long-time resident. Born January 4, 1950, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Johnnie spent her early years traveling with her military family. The Hall family moved to Kiln, Mississippi, in 1963, and later Johnnie became a resident at the Regional Center for adults with physical and mental disabilities.
She is survived by her large and loving family that includes seven siblings: Mary Ellen Bilbo of Kiln; Paulette Henley of Kiln; Nancy Manlove (Jim) of Texas City, Texas; Donna Lossett (Ira) of Picayune; Kay Lovelace Palombo (Michael) of Kiln; David Hall of Menifee, California; and Lisa Ladner (JV) of Bay St. Louis. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, as well as their spouses and children.
She is preceded in death by her devoted parents Lillian and Adolph “Johnny” Hall, formerly of Kiln.
Her family will have a private service at McDonald Funeral Home, followed by an immediate burial at the Biloxi Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her mother and father on Thursday, August 25, 2016.
The family wishes to thank the South Mississippi Regional Center for the many years of love, care, and personalized attention they provided Johnnie. They extend special thanks to her devoted social worker of many years, Diana Lewis and her new social worker Andrea Riley. The family considers all at the Regional Center, employees and residents alike, to be among Johnnie’s survivors and beloved family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the South Mississippi Regional Center in Johnnie’s memory.
