For Lee Parish, owner of Parish Tractor, his business is “mower than a tractor store.” On Saturday, Si Robertson from the poplar TV show “Duck Dynasty” will be signing autographs and taking pictures in dedication of Homes of Hope for Children ministry.
Parish Tractor has partnered with Homes of Hope since the business opened. Because of Parish’s support, Robertson, also a partner of Homes of Hope, has decided to visit and show his gratitude.
Homes of Hope “serves children in crisis throughout Mississippi by providing strong, Christian homes to every child while ensuring that each child is loved unconditionally and has their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs met,” Homes of Hope for children states.
During the event, Parish Tractor will raffle a RTV for $100 per ticket. Those that purchase a ticket will also receive a free 8-by-10 inch professional photo with Robertson along with his autograph.
All of the proceeds raised from this event will go toward Homes of Hope for Children.
“It’s awesome to see children’s lives change. Most of the time, their only hope is the gospel, so we want to make sure they feel accompanied by people that do love them and support them,” Parish said.
For Parish, running a business is more than profits.
“Our mission at Parish Tractor is to be a company committed to our people, products, profitability and principles which allows us to be more than just a tractor store,” Parish said.
Also, Parish Tractor will be holding a sale on Kubota tractors on Saturday. In conjunction with the raffle tickets, Parish Tractor is dedicating a portion of each sale of Kubota tractors toward Homes of Hope, Parish said.
Robertson will be signing autographs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. Although there is no charge to attend the event, those that purchase a raffle ticket will be first in line to receive an autograph.
“Our goal is to raise $10,000 for Homes of Hope for children. It’s something that changes lives and we are excited and humbled to be able to contribute to the ministry,” Parish said. “Having Si come to help raise funds for Homes of Hope is a terrific thing. We all know him very well and are happy to have him join us on Saturday.”
Parish Tractor is located at 1602 S. Main Street in Poplarville.
