Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Reverend John Guy will officiate at the service, Reverend Louis Thomas is Pastor.
Barbara E. James Wallace Barnes was born December 16, 1953 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Alice Irene James Kelley and was raised by Florance Lee. She was the oldest of seven children.
She was a graduate of East Mississippi Community College, and a steward for many years for the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans, LA.
Barbara was a faithful servant of the Lord. She ended her earthly walk to begin her heavenly journey on Friday, August 26, 2016 embraced by her loving and devoted family.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories four beautiful children, Charles Edward Melton Jr. (Marilyn), Darrell Anthony Melton, Roy Wallace III (Patricia) and Keisha Wallace; one goddaughter, Marquita Wallace, one sister, Mary James; five brothers, Ellis James, Don James, Frankie James, Jimmy James, Wallace James, and the late Earl James; one stepsister. Gloria McDougle (Rickey); three stepbrothers, Isaac Jones, Willie Jones and Charles Jones; 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Joshulyn, Chikil, Cemual, Timothy, Saniya, Ti’lynn, Jay’veon, Jani, Jeremiah and Ronzeal; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
