Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Lee McWilliams, 62, of Picayune, MS will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at East Jerusalem Baptist Church. Pastor Brian K. Dees will officiate at the service.

Vera Lee was born on November 12, 1953 in Picayune, MS to the late Leroy and Essie White.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined East Jerusalem Baptist Church, and later became a member of Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ.

Vera graduated from George Washington Carver High School and attended Pearl River Community College.  She was employed by the Picayune Public School System until her retirement.

Vera united in holy matrimony to Lee McWilliams, Sr. on August 10, 1981. She ended her earthly walk to begin her heavenly existence on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lee McWilliams Jr.; six brothers, Carl White, Charles Williams White, Sr., Clarence Maxwell, Hue Maxwell, A. Maxwell, and Robert White.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories:  her devoted husband of 35 years, Lee McWilliams Sr.; four loving children, Rozalind (Howard) Magee of Picayune, MS, Terrie (Randy) Harris of Jackson, MS, Lisa (Felix) McWilliams, and Anthony (Cheryl) McWilliams both of Picayune, MS; three sisters, Deloris (Willie) Ellis, Betty Lewis, and Nettie McWilliams all of Picayune, MS; one brother, Donald (Virginia) White of Jefferson, LA; three sisters-in-law, Pamela White, Gladys (Earl) Dees and Elizabeth Stewart; one brother-in-law, John McWilliams; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.

Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
