OBIT Bonnie Cousin

Captain Bonnie Eilene Cousin was born on March 4, 1969 to the late Mary Lene Smith and Welton Holmes.  Bonnie lived life and touched so many people.  To know her was to love her and she didn’t meet any strangers.
Sister Bonnie was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at an early age, where she was baptized, and served under the leadership of Reverend Fox.  She later became a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Joey L. Mark, where she remained a member until God saw fit to call her into his kingdom.
She was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School, received her Associates Degree at Pearl River Community College, and was employed by the Picayune Police Department for 15 years.
Sister Bonnie transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, July 4, 2016 and accepted the reward that God has promised her peacefully and humbly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lene Smith and Welton Holmes; and one sister, Dimetri Lee.
Sister Bonnie leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her stepmother, Mildred Holmes; two children, Glenn Cousin, Jr. and Kiara Cousin; four siblings, Wanda (Douglas) Haralson, Janice (Pat) Nixon, Luther Smith, and Willie Turner; one niece, Marsha Bolden; two nephews, Ricky (Thelma) Saunders and Xavier Haralson; one god child, Bianca Nixon; four sister-in laws, Elenora Cousin, Carolyn Kaigler, Deborah Bickham, and Lesha Cousin; two brother in laws, Vernel and Calvin Cousin; and extended family, Evelyn Moore, Theresa, Donald, Ed, Larry, and Timothy Nixon.  She will also be dearly missed by cousins and dear  friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
