Funeral service for Mrs.Bertha Moore, 95, will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at New Hebron Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Pastor K. Martin Thomas will officiate the services.
Bertha Moore was born to the late Tump and John Jones on February 8, 1921 in Heidelburg MS. In 1941, she moved to Carriere, MS and became a member of New Hebron Baptist Church under leadership of Rev. EH Hart.
She was married to the late Cyrus W. Moore and to this union a daughter was born Jannie Mae West Littles and also adopted two children, John C. Moore and Brittney Moore and also raised Michael Andrews.
She peacefully departed her earthly residence on Friday, July 15, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 10 siblings.
She leave to cherish her memories two loving and devoted daughters Jannie Mae West Littles, Brittney Moore and son John C. Moore. She also has 8 granchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of 13 great great grandchildren, 1 sister-n-law Mildred Fowler and 1 brother-n-law Robert Moore, 2 first cousins Pauline Javery and Lex Doby, 2 godchildren Rev. George Tillman and WL Clemens and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in the New Hebron Church Cementary in Carriere, MS.
