OBIT Earline Bridges

Earline Bridges, 63, of Holly Springs, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born October 14, 1952 to the late Mr. Bennie Bridges and Gwendolyn Sellers-Bridges.
Earline attended Carver High School in Picayune, MS. Earline accepted Christ as her personal savior under the direction of Rev. Hart in Carriere, MS at an early age. One of her favorite things to do was to sing gospel songs. She loved her children and her family. Throughout her life she had struggles with her health, but always depended on God to see her through. She was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church and later became a member of Little Providence Baptist Church as a young adult.
Family and friends were Earline’s passion and delight in her younger days. She grew up spending time in Catahoula with grand-parents. She was known for the stories that she liked to tell.
Earline is survived by her children, two sons Carson Bridges of Urbana, IL, and James Blakely of Houston Texas and three daughters, Sandra Blakely of Florida, Darlene (Jeremy) Gwen-Lesueur of Gulfport and Gwen (William)Bridges-Jones of Gulfport, MS. One brother, Rev. Wilfred T. Mayfield and one sister Dr. Barbara (George) Coatney of Waveland, MS and a special sister, Sue Mayfield of Pennsylvania. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceded her in death are two sons, Gregory Ladner and Jason Bridges, her father Mr. Bennie Bridges and her mother Gwendolyn Bridges, and her sister Linda Thomas.
The visitation will begin at noon followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Repass will be held at Little Providence Baptist Church.
