Funeral services for Donald O. Penton, Sr., 83, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Nicholson.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Nicholson.
Burial will be in Flat Top Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Dr. Keith Warden will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS, he was a brick mason and a member of First Baptist Church of Nicholson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Ronald Penton, Sr. and Ofa Jane Martin Penton; his sisters, Erma Wilbanks, and Edith Seal; his brother, Clarence “Junior” Penton; and his great granddaughter, Taylor Diane Tate.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Mitchell Penton; his children, Donnie (Tammy) Penton, Jr., and Connie (Dave) Windham; three grandchildren, Trey (Kasey) Penton III, Tabitha (Trey) Tate, and Krystal (Justin) Faia; seven great grandchildren, Haylie, Ty Davidson, Bryson, Breyton, Emma, Cooper, and Chip IV; his sisters, Clara Penton Fore, and Vondell Penton Adcox; and many nieces and nephews.
