Nelli Jo Young O’Meara, 78, of Picayune, MS passed away peacefully at her home, on May 25, 2016; she was born on December 19, 1937.
Ms. O’Meara was a nanny to Mary Grace and Carrie Beth Preston for 23 years. She loved them dearly as if they were her grandchildren. She was a loving mother to her family and dedicated her life to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arelious and Louise Howell Young; four children, Charles Ray Winters, Kay Marie Winters, William O’Meara, Jr, and Walter Arelious O’Meara; and one grandchild, William Dalton O’Meara; one sister, Lorice Anderson; three brothers, Arelious James Young, George Young and Paul Wayne Young.
She is survived by one son, Terral O’Meara, Sr.; three grandchildren, Angel Trembley, Tabitha O’Meara, and Terral Dean O’Meara, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, Makayla Brown, Hailey Brown, Jerry Brown, Jr., Adeline O’Meara, Landon O’Meara, Audrey Russ, Jaxton Hollis O’Meara, and Raelyn O’Meara; and two brothers, Lonnie Young and Lacy Young; as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Ms. O’Meara bequeathed her body for medical research to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. There will be no visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
