Funeral services for Minnie “Voncile” Westbrook, age 93, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Elder Terry Robertson, Elder Gary Sumrall, and Elder Dewayne Long will officiate the service.
A native of Salem Community, MS, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a member of Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Westbrook; parents, Fine Sones and Georgia Wells Sones; brother, Jimmy B. Sones; sisters, Velma Malley, Alma Crawley, Lois Stanford, and Fannie Jones.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Waymon Westbrook and wife Lisa, Dr. James Westbrook and wife Lorraine; grandchildren, Tina Anderson and husband Johnny, Gina Byrd and husband Joe, Shawn Westbrook, Michael Westbrook and wife Brooke, Ashley Westbrook, Shannon Westbrook, Waymon Westbrook Jr., James Howard Kirkland III and wife Amy, Joseph Wilson Kirkland and wife Lindsey, and Cody Spiers; great grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Alex A., Nalita, Gracelyn, Ayden, Braysen, Jay, Brennen, Jace, Alex K., and Wyatt; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
