Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Will Davison, 66 of Picayune, Miss. will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pastor Donald L. Parker officiating and Reverend Jerone Davison is eulogist.
Johnny Will Davison was born on January 14, 1950 to the late Chauncey and Jessie Bell Davison.
“JW” or “Jay” as he was fondly called by many who knew him. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School Class of 1968, owned and operated JD’s Trucking Company for many years.
Johnny met and married Janice Fay Travis Davison and was blessed with four beautiful children, Tyrone, Jerone, Steven and Darlene. He confessed his faith in Christ and joined Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E.L. Fox.
Johnny completed his life here on earth on April 20, 2016, at Ochsner Medical Center-Northshore, Slidell, La. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alene Davison-Dees and Geraldine Davison-Beck; two brothers, Chauncey Davison, Jr. and Edward L. Davison.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two daughters, Darlene Davison, of Fairfield, Calif. and Joy Smith of Picayune, Miss.; four sons, Johnny Tyrone Davison, of Vallejo, Calif., Reverend Jerone Davison, of Tempe, Ariz., Steven Davison , of Vacaville, Calif. and Jacob Lamont Graham, of Spring, Texas; one brother, Alvertis “Jit” Davison (Judy), of Sacramento, Calif.; one uncle, Malcolm Davison, of Stockton, Calif.; one step-son, Marshun Brown; one god-daughter, Janice Alicia James; 32 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; a dear friend, J W “Wildman” Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
