Tuesday, officials with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department arrested David Thorne and charged him with two counts of sexual battery on a minor.
The alleged incident occurred in Hancock County, Hancock County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said.
Thorne is the youth pastor at Goodyear Baptist Church in Picayune, Grannan said.
There was one victim, Grannan said, and officials have no reason to believe there are more.
The investigation is still ongoing, Grannan said.
