Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in New Welcome Baptist church for Sis. Theresa Lewis, age 84, of Poplaville, Miss. who died Monday, March 21, 2016 in Poplaville. The Rev. Jimmy Peters will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Dave Monday Cemetery.
A native of Poplaville she was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Thaddeus Peters, Oak Grove, Miss. and Orlando Lewis, Poplaville; 3 daughters, Sylvia Brown, Moss Point, Miss., Carolyn Ward, Lumberton, Miss., and Jean Travis, Hattiesburg, Miss.; 4 sisters, Marilyn Houston, Ada Glover, Cleanise Humpton, all of Poplaville, and Armethia Preston, Gulfport, Miss.; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in New Welcome Baptist Church. Baylous Funeral Home, Picayune, Miss., in charge of service.
