I-59 and I-10 may close due to flooding

Today, due to flooding, the Mississippi State Department of Transportation may close Interstate 59 and Interstate 10 in south Louisiana/Mississippi. The affected areas are I-59 at the Louisiana state line and at I-10 at the Louisiana state line in Hancock County. The MDOT advises commercial traffic and the traveling public should plan alternate routes now, according to an MDOT release.
MDOT and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development crews on on site with traffic control and message boards in the affected areas, the release states.
