Funeral services for Sallee LaRue Pruett, 78, of Houston, TX, who passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Ken Walters will officiate the service.
A native of North Zulch, TX, she was a wife, mother,and member of  the First Baptist Church of Picayune, the Republican Women’s Club of Picayune, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.P. “Buddy” Pruett Jr.; father, Charles Lee Broadway, mother, Alatha Pearl Spann, and sister, Billie Broadway Harman.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Paul Pruett; daughter, Karen Pruett Hayles; grandchildren, Paula  (Eric) Torres, Daniel P. Pruett, Justin A. (Jie Shen) Hayles,  Chase R. Hayles; great-grandchildren, Caroline Torres, Alex Torres,  Benjamin Torres; brother, James A. Broadway; and a sister, Judy B. Spence.
