Program highlights for Wizard World Comic Con

NEW ORLEANS — Wizard World Comic Con will take place in New Orleans at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from Friday, January 8 to Sunday, January 10.
Q&A sessions with Captain America stars Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Frank Grillo and Joe and Anthony Russo, “Doctor Who” standouts Jenna Coleman and Karen Gillan , “Gotham” headliners Ben McKenzie and Erin Richards, “Star Trek’s” William Shatner and The Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell, costume contests, comics-themed sessions, screenings, gaming and more are among the programming highlights at Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans, Friday through Sunday at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Most programming is included as part of the standard event admission.
Some highlights of the more than 50 panels scheduled include:
Interactive Q&As with the Captain America stars, including a cast panel featuring Evans, Renner, Mackie, Atwell and Grillo hosted by the Russos (Saturday, 10 a.m.); “Doctor Who” leading ladies Coleman and Gillan (Saturday, noon); “Gotham’s” McKenzie and Richards (Saturday, 2 p.m.); and a separate session with the Russos (Saturday, 4:30 p.m.)
Solo Q&A sessions with Shatner (Saturday, 3 p.m.); Campbell (Saturday, 4 p.m.), Daredevil’s Jon Bernthal (Saturday, 5:30 p.m.); “The Walking Dead” star Scott Wilson (Sunday, 12:30 p.m.); Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Barry Bostwick (Sunday, 1:30 p.m.); and Edward James Olmos of Stand By Me (Sunday, 2:30 p.m.)
“In the Ring” with WWE® Hall of Famer Ric Flair ® and Diva Charlotte™ (Friday, 8 p.m.)

Cosplay instruction with Wizard World’s own Damian Beurer and cosplay pros Super Kayce and Jackie Craft (Friday, 6:30 p.m.), breakout sessions with Kayse (Saturday, 2:30 p.m.) and Craft (Saturday, 12:30 p.m.), and CosAbility, integrating disabilities into awesome cosplay (Friday, 5:30 p.m.)
World famous Wizard World Costume Contests for adults (Saturday, 7 p.m.) and kids (Sunday, 3 p.m.)
Super Smash Bros. gaming tournament finals (Saturday, 5:45 p.m.)
