A celebration of life wake service for Leroy Gray, 76, of Picayune, will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Leroy Gray was born on July 9, 1939 in Zachary, Louisiana to the late Eddie and Martha Gray.
At a very young age the family relocated to Picayune where he was educated at Picayune Colored Schools. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was previously employed at St. Regis Mill for many years. He united in holy matrimony with Melba Lewis Gray in 1965. Their marriage lasted 31 years until God called Melba home.
On Sunday, January 10, 2016, God dispatched his death angels to claim the birth spirit of Leroy Gray to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Martha Gray; his wife, Melba Lewis Gray; and one brother, Leon Sanford.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Marilyn Henry, of Gulfport, MS and Ovier Lewis (Hollie) Gutter, of Picayune, MS; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
Interment will be in Picayune Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home (601) 798-4469.
