OBIT Herman Pichon

Memorial services for Herman Pichon, 76, of Slidell, will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pentecost Baptist Church.  Apostle Jenette B. Stokes will officiate at the service.  Reverend Gary Wood is pastor.
Herman Pichon was born on September 1, 1939 to the late Herman Augusta Pichon and Beatrice Randolph Pichon. He was one of ten children born to this union.
He was educated at St. Tammany High School.  On June 20, 1981, Herman united in holy matrimony to Linda Thornton Pichon. He was previously employed at Delta Roofing Paper Mill until his health began to fail.
On Sunday, January 17, 2016, God dispatched his death angels to claim the spirit of Herman Pichon and deliver him to his heavenly home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman A. Pichon & Beatrice R. Pichon; three sisters, Barbara Pichon, Beth Clark, and Edna Rose Pichon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 34 years, Linda Pichon; four sons, Herman Hartly, Kenneth Hartly, Sholow Crawford, and Richard Thornton, all of Slidell, LA; five daughters, Tina (Kenneth) Dunkley, Kiwana Thornton, Latoya Thornton, Renada Thornton, TeKandra Wise; six loving siblings, Augusta Pichon, and Lucian Pichon, of St. Louis, MO, Herbert Pichon, Gerald Pichon, Shirley Rudoloh Pichon, and Mary Pichon, all of Slidell, LA; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five devoted sisters-in-law, and a host of cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
