Tuesday, officers with the Picayune Police Department were notified that a video had been posted online depicting two Picayune Junior High students fighting in a school bathroom.

Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said school resource officers looked into the matter, determining two 12 year-old Picayune Junior High Students had engaged in the fight about three weeks prior.

The school’s administration has opted to take disciplinary action concerning the video, Magri said.

Picayune School District Assistant Superintendent Brent Harrell said the school’s administration is taking the necessary steps to address the matter.
