Narcotics detectives with the Picayune Police Department recovered $25,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine as a result of continued work on Operation: Who’s Next?

On Dec. 16 at 6:55 p.m., narcotics detectives, along with Picayune police officers, arrived at a home at 1020 Clover Circle in an attempt to serve two outstanding felony warrants for two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church, Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.

Detectives observed the suspect, 40-year-old Timothy Jackson, standing in the home’s front yard. They also observed Jackson dropping a large plastic bag on the ground and proceeding to walk inside the home. At that time, officers arrested Jackson and recovered the bag, which contained a large amount of crystal methamphetamine valued at approximately $25,000, Magri said.

When detectives searched the home, they found two large bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be synthetic marijuana, a set of digital scales and numerous hand-rolled cigars containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana inside Jackson’s bedroom. They also located another clear plastic bag containing a crystallized substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine inside the home’s shed, Magri said.

Jackson was additionally charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church and possession of a controlled substance, Magri said.
