Helen Jane Graves Megehee, 85, of St. Louis, MO, passed away October 30, 2015 at St. Anthony’s deGreeff Hospice House.
Helen was born October 4, 1930 to Home and Marie Graves of Kingdom City, MO. She married her husband, Jesse “Mac” Megehee on July 7, 1973. She was retired from Transit Casualty in St. Louis, MO. After retirement, she and her husband became dealers in antiques and traveled widely.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceeded in death by her brother, David Graves and two sisters, Jean Bayliss and Patsy Anderson; survivors include her sister, Patty Graves
of Fulton, MO and her sister-in-law Carol Leible. Aunt Helen shared a special relationship with her nieces and nephews Beth Ann Keener, Frank Bayliss, Michael Graves, Kim Quayle, Sandy Howley, Brenda Bayliss, Rhonda Farrow, Bill Bayliss and Cyndi Anderson; she is also survived by her step-children Lynda Rhea Stinson of Picayune, MS, Jacque (Wayne) Traylor of Simpsonville, SC and the Rev. Dr. Kent Wood (Ruth) Megehee of the Henleyfield Community, located near Picayune, MS.; also left to cherish her memory are the grandchildren Melissa Traylor (Robert) Golmon of Glen Allen, VA, Lisa Traylor (Luis) Valle of Greenville, SC, and Woody (Cathy) Megehee of Brandon, MS. She had five great-grandchildren Jordon and Lauren Golmon, Lila Valle, and Sawyer and Kelly Megehee.
Services will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Monday, November 2, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. She will be buried next to her husband at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Picayune MS with graveside services on Thursday, November 5, at 1:00 p.m.
