Funeral services for John M. Roberts Jr., age 59 of  Carriere, MS, who passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, will be held Monday, November 2, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Father John Noone will officiate the service.
A native of New Orleans, LA, he worked for Woodward Design and Build as a construction supervisor, helping to rebuild the infrastructure of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. One of his most proud achievements was his work on the U.S. Freedom Pavilion; the Boeing Center at the World War II Museum. John loved to play paint ball, hunt, fish, travel and visit with family. His friends and family will miss his outrageous sense of humor. He was
hard-working, faithful, and loving.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Verne Singleton Roberts.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debra Phares Roberts; his children, Jennifer Hanners, Jessica (Shawn) Robbins, and Ray Sechrengost; 10 grandchildren; a great grandchild expected in June, 2016; his father, John M. Roberts, Sr; his sister, Robin Canceinne; his brother, Jeffrey (Debra) Roberts; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
