The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Michael Dylan Seymour of 15083 Pawnee Place, who is wanted for petit larceny and commercial burglary.
On Aug. 26, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Ervin Ladner Rd. in Poplarville in reference to a report of a shed burglary, Chief Deputy Shane Tucker said.
According to the property owner, a riding lawnmower valued at $500 was stolen, which had been sitting next to the shed, Tucker said.
Prior to Aug. 26, there were two other instances where several thousands dollars’ worth of tools and implements used on construction equipment were reported stolen from inside the shed, Tucker said.
The first burglary occurred on Jan. 21 and tools were reported missing from the shed, Tucker said. The second burglary occurred on Aug. 12 and pieces of construction equipment were reported stolen, the chief deputy said.
In an effort to track the stolen equipment, deputies set up surveillance on the property and later identified Seymour from the footage, Tucker said.
Warrants have been issued for Seymour, and the sheriff’s department is asking anyone with information pertaining to his whereabouts to contact the department at 601-403-2530 or 601-798-5528.
Other individuals will be sought for these crimes at a later time, Tucker said.
