Four suspects are wanted in connection to separate shoplifting incidents that recently occurred at Walmart.

Investigators with the Picayune Police Department identified two suspects through the store’s surveillance video, Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.

The first case involves 24-year-old James M. Cowart of 114 J.M. Howard Rd., Poplarville. Based on the store’s surveillance video, Coward entered Walmart on Aug. 28 at 5:52 a.m. He is alleged to have stolen three car chargers, a shirt, a baseball hat and five car light bulbs. The items have a total value of $141.10, Magri said.

Through further investigation, detectives believe Cowart concealed the items on his person after cutting them out of their packaging, Magri said.

Investigators learned Cowart may have been involved in another shoplifting that occurred Friday morning at Walmart. The case is currently being investigated, Magri said.

In a separate matter, authorities are also looking for 21-year-old Jeremia Rhett Haller, address unknown, who was found meandering the aisles of Walmart on Aug. 13 around midnight. Security footage shows him leaving and returning to the store at 2:12 a.m. Haller allegedly stole an air powered pistol when he left the store without paying for the gun. The item has a total value of $35, Magri said.

Investigators later learned Haller allegedly sold the gun to a pawnshop in Slidell, La., Magri said.

Investigators are also searching for two unidentified suspects, who allegedly shoplifted, Magri said.

The first matter involves a man who stole five cases of beer on Aug. 13 at 6:44 p.m. Video surveillance shows him leaving the store without paying. Once he left the store, video showed him allegedly selling the beer to different individuals in the store’s parking lot, Magri said.

The suspect is described as a black male who appeared to be wearing a dark T-shirt and gray pants, according to surveillance footage. The beer had a total value of $107.91, Magri said.

The second matter involves another man who stole several items from the store on Sept. 1, including a large backpack, men’s pants and an Xbox 360, Magri said.

The suspect entered the store at 9:47 p.m. According to security footage, he appeared to have placed the stolen items into the large backpack. The items had a total value of $314.97, Magri said.

The suspect is described as a white male who appeared to be wearing a black T-shirt and black pants, according to security footage.

Magri said investigators are actively working to find these suspects. If anyone has information regarding their identities or whereabouts, they are asked to call the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411 or Crime Stoppers 601-799-2583.
