The comfort of denim

I’m pretty sure we all have a favorite pair of jeans where the fit is almost perfect and the comfort level is out of this world.
I used to have a favorite pair. They were cropped at the ankle and fit me perfectly.
That is until my husband, who loves to clean with bleach, failed to notice them in a pile of clothes on the laundry room floor.
Granted, they probably should have been in a basket with the rest of the dirty clothes, but I still admonished him a bit for not paying attention.
It was a sad day for me when I threw them in the trash. a I am now on the hunt for my new favorite pair.
During the week, at least in my line of work, jeans are not an option in attire, which is fine with me. In my opinion, office settings are not the place for the jeans, unless there are days designated as “casual.”
However, during the weekends, you will find me in a pair of either boot-cut or capri-style jeans.
My grandfather, who was a farmer, wore jeans almost every day, except for Sundays when he wore his finest church attire.
According to English Online, jeans were first designed as durable trousers for farm workers and miners in America.
Jacob Davis, a Nevada tailor, introduced the utilization of copper bolts at the corner of the pockets to make them stronger. He asked Levi Strauss, who supplied the cloth, to help and thus the first pair of denim jeans was created. In the beginning, wearing jeans was associated with a lower class, but during the 1950s and 1960s, actors James Dean and Marlon Brando wore denim in movies, and soon after, everyone wanted to wear them, the website states.
In my opinion, denim is one of the most versatile pieces of clothing and can be dressed up, with the right pair of shoes and accessories, for certain occasions.
I think we can almost all agree that no matter how you like to wear them, jeans are one of the most wearable and comfortable items of clothing a person can own.
