Memorial services will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in New Beginning Baptist Church.  Pastor Joey Mark will officiate at the service.
Larry Darnell Bridges was born on April 24, 1952 to the late Daisy McMillan and Sam Raford in Tylertown, MS. On Friday, July 31, 2015, the Lord our God looked down upon his vineyard and decided it was time to call forth one of his laborers unto a peacefully rest.
Larry accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age.  He was united in holy matrimony to Thelma Trotter and to this union three children were born.
Larry was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and most of all helping others.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Gatlin; mother, Daisy McMillan; father, Sam Raford and brother, Robert Gatlin.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories, two loving and devoted children, Larry D. Bridges Jr. (Marcia) and Caretta Haynes (Cocompce) both of Picayune, MS; two sisters, Billie Rae Trotter (James) and Mary Ann Ratcliff Gatlin  both of Picayune, MS;  eight grandchildren, Raven, Decorreon, Keyana, Diamond, Nyah, Shaniese, Isiaih and Michael; one great grandchild, Genesis;  two god sisters, Ruby Hurd and Vanessa Hal both of Picayune, MS;  one god brother, Rev. Jackie Hurd of Oakland, CA  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
