Gary Wayne Stanford, 74 of Slidell, Louisiana died Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
Services will be held at Murray Hill Church of God on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am. Rev. Bevon J. Smith and Joey Smith will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. and one hour prior to service on Saturday.
Mr. Stanford was born on November 13, 1940 to Julius and Leona Amacker Stanford. He was a resident for the past fifty-two years of Slidell. He worked with the aero space industry for thirteen years, later went into the mobile home business as a mobile home mover, then, mobile home sales and lateras owner/operator of Mobile Home Park in Pearl River, LA.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Glen, J.C., N.L., and Leo Stanford; sisters, Mildred Smith, Patsy Lester and Myrtis Babel.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley C. Stanford; two sons, Randall Stanford and Steve (Stacy) Stanford. four granddaughters, Kristi (Vinnie) Robinson, Karly, Kayla and Stevie Rae; one great grandson, Brayden and his beloved Lab Tebow; two brothers, Archie Stanford and Clyde Stanford; andone sister, Cleo Williams.
