Leo Thomas Weyenberg, 76, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
The family will receive friends and have visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Wednesday at SAINT JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Poplarville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church, 17 Bilbo Hill Drive, Poplarville, Mississippi, 39470 on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors to follow will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery, Lumberton.
Mr. Weyenberg was born May 22, 1939 in Kimberly, Wisconsin to Royal Weyenberg and Anna (nee’ Hocks) Weyenberg. He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Poplarville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Michael Weyenberg; four siblings, Mona Stark, Bob C. Weyenberg, Carol Weyenberg, and Diane Rowan.
Family members include his wife, Linda (nee’ Talbert) Weyenberg; five children, Lisa Davidson (Chris), Jeffrey Weyenberg, Matthew Weyenberg (Kristin), Jill Farmer (Jeremy), Timothy Weyenberg (Brandy); seven siblings, Alice Coenen, Jane Menting, Betty Mischler, Judy Verstegen, Rosemary Hietpas, Kathy Peterson; and a host of loving grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SAINT JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Poplarville.
