Services for Ferdinand D. Davis, 53, of Picayune who passed away on July 11, 2015, will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at East Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Reverend Robert Landor will officiate at the service. Rev. Brian Dees is pastor.
Ferdinand Demerda Davis was born on July 19, 1961 in Picayune, MS to the late Lillie Gandy Davis and W. C. Bridges.
At an early age he united with East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend E H. Hart. He was a 1979 graduate of Picayune Memorial High School. He later went on to graduate from Truck driving school in Virginia.
Ferdinand D. Davis ended his earthy walk on July 11, 2015 when he entered into a peaceful rest. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Gandy Davis and W. C. Bridges, one brother, N. C. Bridges., and a loving step-mother, Josie Bridges.
He leaves cherishable memories to: his only son, Erick F. (Paula) Stubbs, four grandchildren, Erick E. Stubbs, Jr., Ericka F. Stubbs, Kobe Stubbs, and Brooklyn Tyner-Stubbs; six sisters, Argentina (Robert) Landor, of Picayune, Dorothy (Walter) Jones, of Slidell, LA, Sebra Jones, of Savannah, GA, Rose (Robert) Wilkerson, of Picayune, Angela (Tom) Lewis, of Picayune, and Brinder Bridges, of Portland, OR; five brothers, Vanjo Davis, of Long Beach, MS, Colon T. (Carolyn) Davis, of Portsmouth, VA, Donald N. (Barbara) Davis, of Picayune, Christopher Davis, of North Carolina, and Curtis (Wilene) Bridges, of Picayune, MS ; one beloved special daughter, Krystal Williams; and two special grandchildren, Narayana McGill and Yolanda Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in Picayune Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
