Mr. Dea S. Herren, Jr., 90, of Lumberton (Hillsdale), Mississippi died, Sunday, July 5, 2015.

Funeral services will be at White Funeral Home, Poplarville on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Rev. Joe Beach will officiate at the service. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.

Mr. Herren was born January 15, 1925 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Dea Salone and Lula Ticer Herren, Sr. He was retired from Shell Oil Company. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of Sherrard Byrd Masonic Lodge # 353 in Poplarville and Square and Compasses Lodge # 417, F. & A.M. in Kenner, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Family members include two daughter, Carolyn Raines and Nancy Herren Bernard; four grandchildren, Emily Brunet Gartman, Vanessa Bazzie, Kristin Herren Kolenich, Ryan Herren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn A. Herren; and one son, Dea S. Herren, III.
