“The award is a recognition. Every year, we’re given surveys and employees rate the companies they work for,” Taylor said.

For the past six years, Camellia has been recognized for its achievements, Taylor said.

The Mississippi Business Journal categorizes businesses based on size with three awards presented in four categories, including

small (15-49 employees), medium (50-199 employees), large (200-499 employees) and mega-large (500 or more employees).

Last year, Camellia received third place in the large category. This year, the company employed more than 500 employees in its 11 offices statewide, Taylor said.

“We aim to be number one in the mega-large category next year,” Taylor said.

Camellia’s Picayune offers nursing, aid services, occupation, speech and physical therapy. They also have a registered dietician and a nurse on call 24/7. The business serves Pearl River, Stone and Lamar counties and is located at 3300 Hwy. 11 Suite C.

Camellia Healthcare was founded in 1974 and their corporate office is based in Hattiesburg.
