Funeral Services for Sue S. Burns, age 80 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Ryan Wade will officiate the service.
A native of Piave, MS, she was a Registered Nurse. Sue worked at Crosby Memorial Hospital and Dr. Donald Berry Clinic. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune, and The Good News Sunday School Class. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.M. “Bill” Smith and Sarah Walley Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, J.P. Burns, Jr.; her daughter, Debbie (Aaron) Russell; her granddaughter, Briana (Shane) Pickett; her brother, Johnnie M. Smith; her sister, Virginia Buckalew; and her personal caregiver, Pamela Rhodes.
