A Picayune man faces two counts of sexual battery for alleged actions against two minors.

On Wednesday, April 15, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department arrested 40-year-old Dusty A. Callais of 720 Liberty Rd. after they received separate complaints from two minors claiming Callais sexually assaulted them, Chief Deputy Shane Tucker said.

Both victims were 14-years-old at the time of the incidents, which allegedly occurred around the same time last summer in Callais’s home, Tucker said.

Following the claims, investigators obtained a warrant before searching Callais’s home where they found evidence corroborating the complainants’ stories, Tucker said.

Callais was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery and was given a $100,000 bond for each count. He has since made bond, Tucker said.
