Mrs. Joanna Louise Estopinal Mangiaracina, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. She was a native and proud resident of Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina, when she relocated to Picayune, Mississippi.

Mrs. Mangiaracina was the wife of the late Earl Mangiaracina, Sr. for 56 years; daughter of the late Albert and Anna Estopinal; mother of Earl Mangiaracina, Jr., Mary Ann “Sissy” Mangiaracina, and Perry Mangiaracina (Charlene); grandmother of the late Nicholas Mangiaracina; Godmother of David Boris. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, Mrs. Mangiaracina was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Chalmette. Following the storm, she became a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, La. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m. A funeral mass  will begin in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Mrs. Mangiaracina will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.  To view and sign the family guestbook, please visit www.stbernardmemorial.com.
