Robert Ervin Mitchell, Jr., age 80, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, May 11, 2015.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bradley S. Aumann officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mr. Mitchell was a Naval Commander in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa L. Bochman and her husband Eric of Picayune, and Laurel Mitchell of Picayune; one sister, Diane Tate of Picayune; four grandchildren, Emily Blackwell and her husband Derick Blackwell, Casey Castaing and her husband Shane Castaing, Christian Mitchell, and Eric M. Bochman; and one great-grandchild, Madison Blackwell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Velma Mitchell; one daughter, Karen Diane Mitchell; and one brother, Kent Mitchell.
