Registration for the four-person scramble will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon and tee-off starting at 1 p.m., said Keghan Odom, the chamber’s event coordinator.

The cost is $75 per player and $300 per team. The entry fee includes lunch, dinner, a golf cart, 18 holes of golf, goodie bags, a T-shirt and an opportunity to win various prizes, Odom said.

Throughout the event, awards will be issued, including longest drive, closest to the pin, poker run, hole-in-one shootout and first, second and third team places.

Odom said everyone can participate whether they’re beginners or advanced players.

Millbrook Country Club’s General Manager Cecil Watkins said the event is beneficial for the entire community.

“It not only showcases our course but it’s a service to the chamber and local businesses. We certainly want to support the community,” Watkins said.

The four-person scramble involves all four team members hitting their golf balls off the tee and deciding the best shot, Watkins said.

All proceeds will go to the chamber, Odom said. For more information, contact chamber staff at (601) 798-3122.
