Funeral services for Ida Dorris Balaski, age 90 of  Laurel, MS, who passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Hugh Acton will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a retired registered nurse at Crosby Memorial Hospital and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dumas Wise and Ira Woodward Wise; her husband, Claude Homer Balaski, Sr.; her step son, Claude Homer “Sonny” Balaski, Jr.; her brothers, Wilford Wise, Luther Earl Wise, and Joseph Acy Wise.

Survivors include her sons, Phillip and Barbara Balaski, and Tim and Cynthia Balaski; her 4 grandchildren, Chris Balaski, Jill McCarty, Liam Balaski, Garrett Balaski, and Kim Tibbetts; her 4 great grandchildren, Matthew and Mason Balaski, Seth Tibbetts, and Hannah Keene; and her brother, David and Juanita Wise.
