Herbert Kevin Travis, 56, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg.
Memorial services will be at Bethel Baptist Church, 7451 Highway 43 North, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Billy Kent Smith and Rev. Dan Finley will officiate at the service. The family will have visitation after 3:00 pm, Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Travis was born August 9, 1958 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Herbert H. and Charlene McDaniel Travis. He graduated from Poplarville High School and attended Pearl River Community College. He was employed with South Central Bell in Bogalusa and Walmart in Picayune. A member of Bethel Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing, Saints Football, and spending time with his family – especially his grandsons.

Family members include one daughter, Kamie J. Travis; his mother, Charlene McDaniel Travis; two sisters, Kathy Travis (Kenneth) Smith, Karen Travis (Peter) Bryden; two grandsons, Kade Day and Kameron Travis.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert H. Travis, and one brother, Kelly Alan Travis.
