The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Mississippi Department of Corrections, arrested 14 suspects on drug related charges Thursday.

When the departments set out that morning they had a list of 22 names, all with warrants for drug related charges. The charges ranged from the illegal sale of controlled substances such as cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, spice, suboxone, oxycodone, hydrocodone, Xanax and heroin, Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Supervisor Rob Williams said.

The operation was the result of a year-long investigation into alleged drug activity throughout the county, the Item previously reported.
