Funeral services for Minnie Stockstill Blackmon, age 84, of  Picayune, MS, who passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Rev. Josh Braddy will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a homemaker and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulman Stockstill and Audrey Lloyd Stockstill; husband, Charles “Blue” Blackmon; son, Glen Blackmon; great grandchild, Hayley Fleming; brothers Billy Stockstill, A.U. Stockstill; sisters Eliza Penton, Nita Penton, Carolyn Stockstill; and son in law, Layman Jones. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Blackmon Jones; 5 grandchildren, Kelli Fleming and husband Lavon, Robin Murphy and husband Kevin, Tonya Martin, Bo Blackmon, Corey Jones and wife Cassondra; 11 great grandchildren, Mallory Dawsey and husband Zac, Tyler Murphy and wife Lindsey, Kamron Murphy and Katie, Zachary Fleming and Kim, Holly Fleming and Cory, Kylie Martin, Hayden Jones, Sydney Blackmon, Blaize Blackmon, Katelyn Blackmon, and Kalie Blackmon; 5 great great grandchildren, Levi Glen, Eli, Rowan, Marlee, and Bracey Layne; brother, Charles “Bogie” Stockstill; and daughter in law, Peggy Blackmon.
