Madeleine Diane “YaYa” Kemmerer

Mrs. Madeleine Diane “YaYa” Kemmerer, age 74, died on April 6, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 2pm,Saturday at Natchez Trace Memorial Funeral Home in Madison, MS, with Pastor Milton Strickland, Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Kemmerer was born on August 17, 1940, in Douglas, AZ, to Doris Lee and Thomas Francis Wright. She was later adopted by her step-father, Lester Brown. Madeleine was a graduate of Tucson High School and then attended Arizona State University, where she met her future husband. She married Andrew J. Kemmerer, on August 27, 1960, at First Methodist Church of Tucson. Due to his career, they moved numerous times, to include the states of CA, UT, HI, VA, FL and MD. They moved to Picayune, MS in 1973, where she served as Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. Together they retired in Brandon, MS, in 2001.
Madeleine enjoyed good food and socializing. She will be especially remembered for her great love of cooking and entertaining.
Madeleine is survived by her son, Mark Arthur Kemmerer and his wife, Darla Renae Kemmerer of Clinton; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Parker Kemmerer of Madison; and grandchildren, Andrew Scott and Miss Parker Lee of Madison.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Andy and a son, Scott Lee Kemmerer.
