Realistic fitness videos

At one point or another, I’m sure we have all purchased a fitness DVD.
I have quite a few, although lately I prefer working out to the Zumba games for my WiiU console.
Last night, while scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed, a friend of mine shared a video that I instantly fell in love with.
The video depicts women of average size in various stages of exercise.
It was awesome to see “real” women working out.
Generally, fitness videos depict women that already have a fabulous set of abs and muscles that would make most people jealous.
Now, I’m not necessarily saying it’s a bad thing to constantly see fit women in these videos, because it is after all an exercise video. It might be a motivating factor for some.
Personally, I have always wanted to see a video, which doesn’t feature Richard Simmons, show real women who are still working to reach their fitness goals.
I don’t have perfect abs or muscles so I enjoy working out with women who struggle with their weight, as I do.
We all share a common goal. Some of us will never have that washboard stomach or perfect arms and that can be due to a number of factors, including genetics and health risks.
The important thing to remember is that an exercise routine should be an essential part of our daily lives.
Getting fit is not as easy as these fitness gurus make it seem in their videos.
I can’t wait for the day when I can purchase a video that shows what exercise is like for an average woman like myself.
