Mary Stewart Blackwell Holliday, Age 96, born and raised in New Orleans, LA passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015.

She raised her family in Picayune, MS and lived her final years in Fairhope, AL.

Mrs. Holliday was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was loved by all who knew her and was a people person who loved making friends everywhere she went.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph Clay Holliday, Jr; her parents, Morris Glen and Eva Stewart Blackwell; and two brothers, Morris Glen Blackwell and Charles Blackwell.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Joseph Clay Holliday of Fairhope, AL; two daughters, Mary Kay Holliday of Brandon, MS and Peggy (Steve) Vogle of Ocean Springs, MS; two brothers, Ken Blackwell of Metairie, LA and Bob Blackwell of Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren, John Newsom, Nick Newsom, Rachel Vogle, Mary Vogle and Ellen Vogle; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Fairhope United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of service.

A memorial service will also be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 11:30 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel, Picayune, MS.
